Lebanese-Armenian politician Nazar Najarian was killed in the blasts near the port of Beirut, Arevelq (East) reports. He was the Secretary General of one of Lebanon’s oldest parties, the Lebanese Phalanges Party.

Explosions near the port of Beirut have killed at least 10 people.

Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab has declared August 5 a day of mourning in the country.
