Head of the Chair of History of the Armenian Language, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Anna Abajyan informs:
“I am deeply saddened to announce the death of YSU Chair of Armenian Language Professor, Doctor of Philological Sciences Ruben Sakapetoyan. For more than half a century he connected his life with YSU, educated, passed his deep knowledge to many generations of philologists, was the best teacher of Armenian language at the faculty, created many valuable monographs, dictionaries, as well as university and school textbooks. A number of dissertations were defended under his leadership.
Ruben Sakapetoyan was a favorite lecturer, a faithful friend, an honest and precise intellectual, a wonderful father, a good man: …
