During the special sitting of the National Assembly, Commandant Tigran Avinyan referred to the events taking place on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, and noted:
“I want to make it audible to the whole international community, to reaffirm our position that the Azerbaijani government bears all the responsibility for Azerbaijan’s losses and regional instability during such actions. I want to express our support to the officers of our soldiers,” he said.
The Government has decided to extend the state of emergency declared in the Republic of Armenia on 16 March, 2020.
According to the Constitutional Law “Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly”, in case of declaring a state of emergency (extension of the term of the state of emergency) a special sitting of the National Assembly is convened immediately by force of the law.
