Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan reports “We have just sent to the international organizations the first interim report on the shelling of the Tavush region of the Republic of Armenia on 12 and 13 July in English. It was made during the night.
The report is sent to the UN Human Rights Council in a separate procedure. I would like to emphasize that such an opportunity is available only to national human rights institutions with “A” international status.
The interim report was based on our own sources of information and facts.
The staff of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia continues to carry out monitoring activities, maintaining direct contact with Movses, residents of a number of other villages of Tavush region, administrative bodies of civil communities, as well as with the RA Ministry of Defense.
“Information was received this morning about the shelling by the Azerbaijani side in the immediate vicinity of Movses and a number of other peaceful settlements, the real danger to the health, life and property of those civilian settlements in Armenia.”
