Karen Vardanyan, Executive Director of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises, has died.

The Union informs that having more than 20 years of professional experience in the field of business development and management, K. Vardanian has been the Executive Director of the structure that plays a major role in Armenia’s IT sector since 2005.

Before that, in 2002 – 2005, he worked at the Enterprise Incubator Foundation as Deputy Director, and at the Ministry of Trade and Industry as Head of the IT Development Department.

Karen Vardanyan graduated from the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute in 1986 as a hydro engineer, and in 2009 took a course at Harvard University, Kennedy School of Management.

Karen Vardanyan is the author of 7 patented inventions.
