Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is holding a briefing after the meeting at the Commandant’s Office.
Narine Sargsyants, Counselor for Infectious Diseases of the Ministry of Health, Deputy Director of Treatment at the Republican Center for AIDS Prevention, and Laurent Papazian, Head of the Resuscitation Department at the “Nord” Medical Center in Marseilles.
Pashinyan noted that the government will apply a general lockdown in case of extremes necessity.
“We have to be 100% sure how we will keep the lockdown until the farthest street of the last village. If it turns out that there is no such guarantee, it can bring new problems. Today, we are working out a plan for a lockdown and we must do everything we can to be prepared to take such a step as needed. But there is an easier way to follow the anti-epidemic rules․ To wear a mask, to disinfect hands, to maintain social distance,” the Prime Minister says.
