“Khazer” ecological and cultural non-governmental organization has filed a lawsuit against Gohar Ghazinyan, demanding to refute the information containing defamation.

The preliminary court session took place on 22 June. The case is assigned to Judge Diana Hovhannisyan.

In a conversation with Iravaban.net, Gohar Ghazinyan’s lawyer Anahit Sargsyan mentioned that there is no basis for defamation.

“This refers to Gohar Ghazinyan’s Facebook post, where she expressed her concern over international grants related to the environmental sector. She noted that when international grants come to Armenia, the money should be distributed through the relevant PIՕs (Project Implementation Office), there should be state control over the distribution of money, but it did not happen. Notably, Gohar Ghazinyan has worked in this field for many years, she has been an advisor to the Minister of Nature Protection and thinks that there are problems in this issue, the ministers have always said that, the governments have always pointed out that money has come in connection with the environment The programs were not implemented and she made a Facebook post,” the lawyer said.

According to her, the court hearings are being postponed in this period.
