Today, on 24 June, at the regular sitting, the Council of Elders of Yerevan discussed and made a decision  on the requirements for the mobile trade points in the administrative territory of Yerevan Municipality: the conditions, the permitted places for the implementation of the mobile trade, the procedure for their provision (terms), the terms, conditions and the hours of the implementation of the activity, as well as the definition of the inadmissible types of goods or services provided.

Lusine Gevorgyan, a member of the Yerevan Council of Elders, who took part in the work of preparation of the draft decision, said that as a member of the Council of Elders, in one of her interviews she did not want Yerevan to become a big eastern market.

“We have done a great job, in particular, I would like to mention the numerous meetings with the members of the Union of Mobile Trade, we have heard all their proposals and mainly included them in the draft decision. I would like to say that this project is really revolutionary, because for the first time the permission to trade will be given through a telephone application. In other words, we have envisaged a principle that is really absolutely transparent and ensures open competition,” Lusine Gevorgyan said.
