Today, on 22 June, at 13:00, the National Assembly will convene a special sitting. Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the “Bright Armenia” faction, said during the parliamentary briefing.

“At the special sitting, the main law of the country must be changed, as far as I understand, it has set a three-hour regime, that is, the first reading is accepted, 3 hours for proposals,  the second reading takes place. You know that all over the world when the Constitution – the main law changes, it is a work of months, public hearings, discussions, debates, campaigns, again debates. This is what is done in Armenia, you come to the parliament in the morning, you know at 9:30 that the Constitution must be changed today, and you go to that sitting, and the Constitution is changed,” the deputy said.

According to him, this is a serious problem for Armenia, for international obligations. Marukyan also mentioned that they may not participate in the sitting.
