In the Near Future, Citizens will be able to buy Masks for 60-70 Drams: Nikol Pashinyan

The 18 June sitting of the government has started. At the beginning of the sitting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred to the coronavirus situation in Armenia.

“We are not able to reduce the numbers. We know the reason. Anti-epidemic rules are not observed and we have to apply stricter measures. You know that the Commandant decided to fine the person if the latter didn’t have an isdentification document. If, for example, a person does not have a document while not wearing a mask, the process of subjecting him to administrative responsibility takes longer, he should be taken to the police department, and this administrative lever makes the process more effective. If a person does not have a mask and a passport, the fact will be examined by 2 separate proceedings, 2 separate fines will be imposed,” Pashinyan says.

The Prime Minister also spoke about the queues in the organizations providing services. According to Pashinyan, there are many good examples of how to keep the queue, both inside and outside the building.

“Our analysis shows that the main source of infection are the yards and nearby addresses. Special groups have been formed to carry out control functions. There has been a significant deflation of masks in the market. In the near future, citizens will be able to buy masks for 60-70 drams. It is already scientifically proven that wearing a mask and maintaining social distance, including regular disinfection of hands, reduces the spread of infection by 95%, ”says Nikol Pashinyan.

Notably, 665 new cases of coronavirus disease have been confirmed, 746 people have recovered, the Ministry of Health reports.

There were 7 deaths. The patients were 62 (male), 65 (female), 70 (male), 79 (female), 64 (female), 85 (male) and 76 (female) of age. Everyone had concomitant chronic diseases.
