From June 17, all citizens of the Republic of Armenia will be required to carry an identity document. The Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this today, on 16 June, during the briefing after the session of the Commandant’s Office,
“It’s about a passport, an ID card, or a driver’s license. Why was this decision made, because in many cases, when the issue of initiating administrative proceedings in the street for violating the rules of wearing a mask arises, as citizens do not have an identity document, the effectiveness of the process is seriously affected,” the Prime Minister said.
In these cases, not having a passport and breaking the rules of wearing a mask will be a separate offense, and each will be subject to a separate fine. In other words, for not wearing a mask, you will be fined for 10 thousand drams, for not having an identity document, you will be fined for 10 thousand drams.
