Today, on 12 June, the special sitting of the National Assembly discusses the decision made by the government to extend the state of emergency in Armenia.
MP Arkady Khachatryan asked a question to the Prime Minister, noting․ “In your opinion, what is the moment, the threshold at which to reach the issue of lifting the state of emergency, to reach the peak, to zero the number of patients, or to pass the threshold of some percentage of the population?”
He noted that according to him, this issue should have already been discussed.
“Option 1․ A vaccine has been found, its effectiveness has been confirmed, we have introduced and started a process of mass vaccination, or a drug has been found. Option 2․ We have stated that adherence to anti-epidemic rules leads to a decrease in continuous numbers. but to know that there is no need to continue. There is no third option,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in response to the deputy’s question.
