Notably, the Supreme Judicial Council, suspending the examination of the motion to impose disciplinary liability on board member Hayk Hovhannisyan, applied to the Constitutional Court.

Ani Mkhitaryan, Grigor Bekmezyan and Mesrop Makyan, members of the SJC, filed a motion to impose disciplinary action on Hovhannisyan in connection with expressing a special opinion within the framework of another case related to Judge Arayik Melkumyan.

In a conversation with Iravaban.net, according to the SJC member, the Constitutional Court accepted the decision of the council with surprising speed. “Instead of welcoming people in the judiciary who are not afraid and raise the existing issues, the policy of trying to silence them, in fact, is being pursued,” the member of the SJC said.

It should be added that this is not the first case when the members of the SJC submit a petition related to the activities of another member.
