On 3 September, 2019, a pink parrot or gala (Latin: Eolophus roseicapilla) parrot disappeared from the zoo under unknown circumstances.

The zoo informs.

In March 2020, the parrot was found, and yesterday, on 9 June, was returned to the park thanks to the efforts of the RA Police, the RA Investigative Committee and the staff of the Yerevan Zoo.
