After attending the Commnadant’s Office session remotely, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a briefing. Mher Davidyants, director of the Nork Infectious Diseases Hospital in Yerevan, and Vaghinak Minasyan, a senior lieutenant in the 5th Special Battalion of the Yerevan Police Department participate in the briefing as well.
Pashinyan noted that he has an obligation to tell the whole truth about the coronavirus. There are about 200 citizens in the country, who are waiting to be hospitalized.
“We have a case when a person died of coronavirus due to the delay of medical care. The reason is that the relatives were a little late in passing the correct information about the patient to the healthcare system and the reaction was also late. We had such a first death. We have two deaths when the patient was supposed to be in the resuscitation department, but he was in the general department because there was no place in the resuscitation department. ”
According to the Prime Minister, they approached the decision to declare a total blockade at the Commandant’s session, but consider that it will not be effective.
“This quarantine will not be maintained with the quality that will lead to the desired result. We have reached a critical stage and we are going through hell,” he said.
