Experts from Yerevan State Medical University tried to break the lies and myths about COVID-19. Mary Ter-Stepanyan, a lecturer at the YSMU Chair of Epidemiology, spoke about the proper use of masks and gloves.
The expert notes that there is a very simple method to test the effectiveness of the mask. “You can keep the burning candle 10 cm away from your mouth and try to extinguish the fire by blowing. If the fire is extinguished, the effectiveness of the mask is not so high.”
Mary Ter-Stepanyan also talks about gloves. According to her, it is not allowed to use the glove more than once. “It should not be treated with alcohol or other skin antiseptics. It is not allowed to use gloves with them.”
The YSMU lecturer also gives advice on how to use the mask for maximum protection.
