During the preliminary investigation of the criminal case under investigation, General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee, it was found out that the residents of Kajaran G. M. and his friend K. T. to clarify the circumstances of the dispute between them on the call of Kajaran community head, on 26 April, 2020, at around 8:00 pm, the head of the community and about 20 people gathered in the building of the former non-functioning restaurant behind the latter’s gas station on Lernagortsneri Street in Kajaran, where a fight took place. This Investigative Committee reported.
On 29 April, 2020, at around 1:30 p.m., employees of the Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine B.H., his brother L. H, Kh.M. and M.S. applying violence in the factory parking lot, kidnapped Sh.M. and transported to the territory of “Ajdanak” LLC by car driven by Kh.M and have beaten him there.
After beating for about half an hour, Sh. M. was taken by “Toyota-Prado” car to a private house belonging to A.P. in Agarak settlement, where he was beaten again, which was intervened by Sh.M.’s brother G.M. and A.P., as well as the unidentified persons, with which the fight ended. During the preliminary investigation of the criminal case, a search of the residence of the A.P. revealed a particularly large amount of “marijuana” type drugs.
On 24 May, 2020, Kh. M, M . S and L.H. were arrested on the basis of Article 131, Part 2, Clause 1 of the RA Criminal Code, and the S.P. on suspicion of committing crimes under Article 268, Part 3 of the RA Criminal Code.
Large-scale investigative actions are being carried out; operative measures are being taken to check the participation of the community head in the incidents and to find out his role.
The investigation is underway.
At the same time, the RA Investigative Committee urges not to hinder the investigation of the criminal case and the administration of justice, as criminal liability is envisaged for that.
Note: A person that is suspected or accused of an alleged crime is considered innocent until his/her guilt is proved by a court judgment that has come into legal effect pursuant to the procedure determined by RA Criminal Procedure Code.
