RA Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan issued a statement, which reads:
“Dear colleagues of the primary health care system,
Dear medical staff of urban polyclinics, rural dispensaries and health centers,
In a few days, hundreds of our citizens who do not have symptoms or have a mild fever will return home from isolation confinement, and newly diagnosed citizens will not be isolated in hotels or hospitals. Their home control will fall on everyone’s shoulders, as is the control of our citizens with acute respiratory infections in the past.
This change is due to two factors. The first is the increase in the number of citizens with a positive diagnosis, which is increasing day by day, and the second is the change in the strategy for managing uncontrolled cases from the point of view of optimal use of beds and other resources.
In order to smoothly implement this change in strategy, the National Institute of Health of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia will carry out large-scale distance learning procedures for home-based patients undergoing positive procedures at home. Please actively participate in them.
A call center for doctors will be set up at St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center of the RA Ministry of Health to keep the connection between the PHC and the hospital system operational. Details about the call center will be provided to you in a working order.
The effectiveness of the fight against this global challenge will also be based on your dedication and responsibility. We must all overcome it together.
Thank you for your work.”
