Alina Nikoghosyan, spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, issued a statement saying:

“I want to touch upon a topic that is becoming more active from time to time. The point is that “relatives are offered 100,000 AMD to sign a document that the person has died of coronavirus.”

You can find those who spread such rumors in the comments of the Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan’s, as well as in the Facebook comments of the Ministry. We tried to go after this incomprehensible news, but we did not find any source from the recorders and did not find the source.  Most of the posts are made mainly from fake pages, for example in the screenshot.

These absurd rumors do not correspond to reality and the process of handing over the dead from the moment of registering the death to the relatives is controlled by the ministry. It is also unclear: what is the motive of the state to have unsubstantiated deaths and to “exaggerate” the statistics.

There are certain groups of people who take advantage of the situation and do not miss the opportunity to constantly discredit the work done by the Ministry of Health.
