The state of emergency in Armenia was extended until 13 June at 17:00. The Government made a decision on this at the 14 May sitting.
This was the second extension of the state of emergency.
According to the decision, the Commnadant will coordinate the work of the Commandant’s Office, the forces providing the legal regime of the state of emergency in the territory of the state of emergency, the means, as well as the work of the bodies responsible for the implementation of measures applied in emergency situations.
Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan, presented the draft decision to the members of the executive.
He also mentioned that once a week, one person in a penitentiary institution will be allowed to hand over a prisoner or a convict.
