The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The message reads:

“Dear Armen Vardan,

Please accept my sincere congratulations on the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Celebrating this sacred day for our peoples, we pay our deepest respects to all those immortal heroes who fought against fascism, providing peace and freedom for future generations.

I am convinced that the traditions of brotherhood, unity and mutual assistance, which were strengthened during the war, will serve as a solid basis for the development of the Armenian-Russian allied relations in the future.

I ask to convey my best wishes for good health, happiness and prosperity to all the veterans living in the Republic of Armenia and the rear workers.”
