Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan referred to the tragic incident in Yerevan, about which J.
“After the tragic death of a father and children, personal information and even photos from the scene are spread on the Internet. At the same time, in some cases, it is done in such a way that a person’s private life and family tragedy become the subject of obvious manipulation. The ongoing “discussions” are looking for culprits, and in some cases target the woman.
I am very concerned about the attitude of certain websites and social networks.
It is inadmissible to collect likes or provide views by using photos of children who died at the scene using the tragedy of the human family.
We need to keep in mind that as a result of such steps, we cause pain and suffering to those families. Moreover, in this way we create an opportunity for the photos that appear on the Internet to always accompany people throughout their lives, with all the negative consequences that result from it.
Such attitudes are also unacceptable from the point of view of values, perceptions and negative consequences in society.
I offer my condolences to the relatives of the deceased.”
