Garik Sargsyan, the governor of Ararat region, issued a statement, which reads:

“Dear journalists and citizens who call us, adhering to our open and transparent way of working,” I consider it necessary to inform once again that an isolated citizen had participated part in the funeral in Norashen community, who was confirmed with coronavirus. After the incident, the Commandant’s Office decided to impose temporary restrictions on the community.

At the moment, we have 8 confirmed cases in Norashen community, one of which has recovered and one has died.

The information received from other dubious sources has nothing to do with reality.

Notably, the decision to impose restrictions on the above-mentioned community is valid until April 18, 2020, at 23:59.”
