The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs presents a Q&A on the fourth measure to neutralize the economic impact of the coronavirus;
- To whom does this Government decision relate?
All citizens whose families have a child up to 14 years of age, both of whom have been registered workers and have been dismissed in the period of 13-25 March, 2020, can benefit from the progarm.
Families where one parent of a child under 14 was a registered worker and was dismissed in the period of 13-25 March, 2020, while the other parent did not work, may also be supported.
Citizens who have a child up to 14 years old, have been a REGISTERED WORKER and dismissed in the period of 13-25 March, 2020, while the other parent of the child is deceased, is recognized dead or missing .
The beneficiary may also be a single mother with a child under 14 or a parent residing with the child (if the child’s parents are divorced), who has been a REGISTERED WORKER and was dismissed in the period of 13-25 March, 2020.
Support may also be provided to those parents who have been dismissed or have no employment who have been an individual entrepreneur and whose activity has not been terminated in accordance with the RA Tax Code.
- Can the NON REGISTERED workers become a beneficiary of the Program?
No, they cannot.
- How much support will the state provide?
Assistance will be provided for each child up to the age of 14 in the amount of 100,000 drams. The amount will not be taxed.
- For what period of time is this support scheduled?
Assistance is provided as a lump sum, that is only once.
- Are there any exceptions for persons who have a child under 14 years of age and who have been dismissed from work dismissed in the period of 13-25 March?
Yes there are: Citizens whose salary exceeds 500,000 drams during the two months preceding their dismissal may not be eligible for the program.
Citizens who have moved to another job after being dismissed in the period of 13-25 March, 2020, cannot be supported either.
- How and to whom to apply for the support package?
There is no need to apply. The data of the beneficiaries of this support event will be transmitted to the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs by the State Revenue Committee. Information on citizens dismissed in the period of 13-25 March 2020, will be collected by the SRC from the information base provided by the Law on Personal Income Tax and Social Pay.
- How will I get the money?
The amount will be paid to the beneficiary in cash by bank transfer. The bank will be selected on random basis, but you will be notified by email or, if not, by the letter sent to your registration address about the bank and money transfer chosen for you.
ATTENTION: If the beneficiary does not claim the amount within 3 months after transferring the money to the bank account, it shall be returned to the RA state budget.
