On 23 March the National Assembly continues the extraordinary sitting. The Draft Law on Amendments to the Code on Administrative Offenses and to the Criminal Code is being discussed.
An amendment to the Code of Administrative Offenses is proposed in connection with violations of the rules of the state of emergency.
It is envisaged that violations of the requirements of isolation or self-isolation during a state of emergency will result in a penalty of 300-500 thousand AMD. Violation of the restrictions on publication and dissemination of information for individuals and legal entities during the state of emergency will result in a penalty of 50-300 thousand AMD.
Amendments to the Criminal Code are provided for violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules.
If the draft is adopted, violations of the requirements of isolation or self-isolation during a state of emergency that negligently caused people to be massively ill will be punishable by up to 3 months in arrest or up to one year in prison.
Notably, the draft has already been adopted in the first reading.
