The decision of the Commandant’s Office to restrict the trading companies from 22 March applies only to the malls. MP Babken Tunyan reports.
“Retailers selling miscellaneous economic products and construction materials can continue to operate. The ban does not apply the fairs, the Vernissage and clothing stores – they can work,” he said.
It should be noted that a trade center is considered to be a set of trade, public catering and entertainment facilities located within a single building or on a continuous (stationary) cross-section of one of the premises of a trade, where other services are provided as well.
We have previously reported that the following types of economic activity shall be prohibited in the Republic of Armenia within the framework of the fight against coronavirus disease from 22 March until the end of the state of emergency:
- Trade center, except retail of food, beverages, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products
- Bars, nightclubs, dance clubs
- Film screenings
- Casinos
- Bookmaker and betting organization.
Commandant’ Office is making every effort to ensure the security of our people, mobilize the Armenian nation’s forces and overcome the challenges we all face.”
