We have 2 patients in the risk zone, one is 67 and the other is 71. Their mood is very good. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this on Facebook on March 15.

Note that there are 28 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Armenia.

Pashinyan also touched upon the opinion that all citizens from Iran and Italy should be isolated immediately.

He noted that there were hundreds of passengers from these countries, of whom only 5-6 were infected.

“We cannot isolate everyone under certain conditions. If we pursued this policy, we would have no place to isolate the 150 citizens arriving from Italy tomorrow and we would have to isolate them in their homes. I think the decisions were right and came from the World Health Organization’s recommendations,” he said.

Pashinyan said that he and his family are still in Sevan, self-isolated. The Prime Minister mentioned that today a citizen of Meghri infected by Coronavirus had contact with them.

“On the way from Meghri to Yerevan, I had a specific contact with that citizen, but it was not very close. So I took a new test about an hour ago. If the answer comes in midnight, and if it is positive, my family and I will continue our self-isolation. If it is negative, I will return to Yerevan,” the Prime Minister said.

Pashinyan assured that the lives of 28 infected people are not in danger.
