“Due to the financial crisis and the spread of coronavirus, many companies in the tourism sector are facing serious problems as a result of the sharp decline in tourism.
In particular, the hotel business and public catering facilities were almost paralyzed. The same is true of tourism, airline companies.
In this context, state support to these companies is important, in particular I recommend that the Government initiate a temporary change in the Tax Code in an extraordinary manner, setting a tax holiday for companies in this field for at least half a year on all types of taxes.
At the same time, the City Hall of Yerevan is also obliged to take such initiative, exempting public catering companies in Yerevan from local taxes and fees, as well as land rent.”
