A quarantine has been announced in Lithuania since Monday. This was reported by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Lithuania.
“The Lithuanian government has decided to declare quarantine in the country since Monday to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Below is a list of restrictions.
1 ․ Foreigners are prohibited from entering the country, except for persons
- Personnel providing Lithuania; • Personnel members;
- Family members of Lithuanian citizens;
- Persons entitled to reside and work in Lithuania;
- Diplomats;
- NATO military representatives.
A temporary humanitarian corridor will be provided to Latvian and Estonian citizens for return home.
- The number of border crossings allowing entry into Lithuania will decrease.
- Citizens of Lithuania are forbidden to travel to all countries affected by the coronavirus by all means of transport. The possibility of a ban on leaving the country for non-work purposes is also being considered.
- Sale in shops is prohibited, except
- grocery stores,
- pharmacies,
- specialized veterinary pharmacies,
- food markets.
- The activities of cafes and bars shall be prohibited, except for food service providers.
- All types of events, both indoors and outdoors, are prohibited.
- Tourist boats to the port of Klaipeda are prohibited.
- Public administration institutions are prohibited from providing non-mandatory services.
- It is forbidden to visit patients in medical facilities as well as detainees in prisons.
- Restoration of spa services, if not related to treatment, prohibition of hairdressing and beauty salons is prohibited.
- The number of passengers on intercity buses and trains is limited in order to maintain the distance between passengers. It is recommended to apply the same principle in urban transport.
- Hotels should, if necessary, permit the use of their premises as a quarantine, which will be compensated by the state.
- Educational institutions remain closed.
- Pre-planned surgeries are delayed at medical facilities, with the exception of cases of necessary medical care, delayed rehabilitation, dental services, and scheduled vaccinations.
- Public and private sector employees are advised to work from home,” the statement said.
