Armenian Embassy in Ukraine released a statement:
“Dear compatriots
Below is an excerpt from an official document from the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry:
“On 13 March, 2020, the Security and Defense Council of Ukraine decided to impose temporary restrictions on entry into the territory of Ukraine to prevent the spread of acute respiratory disease caused by the coronavirus COVID-19.
From 16 March, 2020, at 00:01 Kiev time for the period of two weeks foreigners and stateless persons, including through transit regime, will not be allowed to enter the territory of Ukraine
This restriction shall not apply to foreigners and stateless persons of the following categories:
– Staff of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Ukraine, consulates and international organizations, as well as family members,
– Persons having the right of permanent or temporary residence in Ukraine.”
The above information leaves many open questions that the Armenian Embassy in Ukraine is trying to find out and will bring to your attention in the shortest possible time. In particular, it is not clear whether the airlines serving Yerevan Direct (MAU, SkyUp) will suspend flights on 16 or 17 March or not, as President V․ Zelensky said in his speech in the evening on 13․03․2020, when he said “regular flights will be stopped in three days” and “Ukrainian Airlines” cannot yet answer that question.”
