The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement saying:

“Taking into account the epidemic situation caused by a new type of coronavirus, the Government of Armenia, as a result of bilateral consultations and arrangements with the Government of Georgia, has decided to limit land and air communication with Georgia until 24 March, 2020.

The restriction does not apply to citizens of Georgia and Armenia returning to their home countries and their family members, legally resident persons, diplomatic missions’ staff and their family members, as well as officials who pay official visits.

The regular cargo transportation between Armenia and Georgia will continue.”
