Today, the government held an extraordinary meeting of the commission coordinating the work on preventing the spread of coronavirus.

Speaking to reporters after the session, SCPEC Chairman Gegham Gevorgyan informed that 6-7 tons of alcogel were produced in Armenia daily. The pharmacies get it, but it ends very quickly.

“There is no price change in alcogels, in the case of masks, big businessmen point out that there is a tendency of decrees in prices,” he said.

Local production of medical masks has been initiated in Armenia, but production volumes are not so great.

Gevorgyan also mentioned that he had met with the heads of major commercial networks, and there was no panic in the shops: “It has been two days since orphans have made a big purchase, it has been taken out of storage and filled. There is no deficit in any product,” he said.
