By the decision # 66 of the 31 January meeting the “Yerevan State University” Foundation Board of Trustees had announced an open competition for the vacant position of YSU Rector. Five candidates have applied.

The process of submitting applications and necessary documents has been organized according to the rules of election of the Rector of “Yerevan State University” Foundation (see doc.ysu.am).
Five candidates have applied:
Vahram D. Dumanyan – Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Dean of YSU Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics (by YSU Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics),
Vahe V. Hovhannisyan – Doctor of Law, Professor, Head of the Department of Civil Procedure at YSU Faculty of Law (self-nominated),
Ruben H. Melkonyan – Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Dean of YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies (by YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies),
Pavel S. Gevorgyan – Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Chair of Mathematical Analysis at Moscow State Pedagogical University (self-nominated),
Ashot S. Saghyan – Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Acting Director of YSU Institute of Pharmacy (by YSU Institute of Pharmacy).
