Vazgen used to say that Birthday is for Women, Girls, and Children: Aram Sargsyan tells about his Brother

Today is the birthday of National Hero of Armenia, former Prime Minister and First Minister of Defense Vazgen Sargsyan.

A number of citizens and senior officials visited the Yerablur Pantheon.

Vazgen Sargsyan’s brother Aram Sargsyan told Iravab.net how they usually celebrated his birthday. “We never celebrated his birthday. He said that birthday is for women, girls and children, what is the birthday for a man? He didn’t like when listen toast in his sake and he always began to sing when someone tried to make a toast or praise him, so that everyone would forget the toast. He was a very modest man. No one had applied to him with the word “Sparapet” during his life because he would not allow it. He believed that everyone involved in the war had as much of a contribution as he and he was one of them,” Aram Sargsyan said.
