Today, is the birthday of National Hero of Armenia, former Prime Minister and First Minister of Defense Vazgen Sargsyan.
Former Deputy Prosecutor General Gagik Jhangiryan spoke today at Yerablur about his relationship with Vazgen Sargsyan.
“Our relations were very warm and friendly. It was his initiative that I began to work in the military prosecution. I was not psychologically ready, but he said it was time to establish order in the army. It was hard to refuse Vazgen, and I agreed. And I think those were the happiest years of my life.”
Speaking about Vazgen Sargsyan’s private life, Gagik Jhangiryan mentioned that everybody wanted to see him already married, even when Vazgen’s parents applied to him to persuade him. “When he had already assumed the post of prime minister, I told him it was time to get married, he was a government official, he was going to different places, he needed a someone to accompany him. “Jhangiryan, do you want a young girl to become unhappy?” Jhangiryan said.
