On March 4, the Draft on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Constitutional Law of the RA Judicial Code is being debated at the sitting of the National Assembly.

MP Gevorg Petrosyan asked the main rapporteur on the draft, Justice Minister Rustam Badasyan, noting: “If a person has not been involved in any criminal case prior to the adoption and entry into force of the proposed draft, does the law bypass him? Now, if a person acquired property in 1993 and then got a position, would the law apply to these cases?”

The Minister noted that there is a concept of a real beneficiary and an interconnected person. He cited details of the planned law, citing, for example, the registration of property of officials of their illegal origin, for example, in the name of the mother-in-law.
