YSU Faculty of Law, considering the current situation and concerns that it may continue, decided to pursue distance learning.

Gagik Ghazinyan, Dean of YSU Faculty of Law, told us that the Faculty, positively assessing the initiative of the RA Ministry of Education and Science to suspend the educational process in the period of March 2-8 at the institutions of public health, also considers the possibility of an extraordinary deadline as well taking steps to resolve it.

“To this end, the faculty has decided to pursue distance learning during the whole period of extraordinary vacation. In particular, the “Moodle” e-learning system already implemented in the faculty will be applied,” Gagik Ghazinyan said.

Until then, “Moodle” was used only to provide students with complete materials on the subject, and now its feedback will also apply.

“What the student had to do in the classroom during lectures, practical classes and active discussions will now be implemented remotely. Materials are provided on the topic, and then tasks are given as well as explanatory information on their implementation. A clear deadline is set for the students to fulfill their assignments,” Gagik Ghazinyan noted.

According to him, the tasks may be related to discussing situations, drafting judicial or other documents, deciding to initiate a case or dismiss a case, etc. “Depending on the subject matter, the assignments may vary. Upon receiving them, the lecturers check, and then provide their comments and suggestions. ”

According to the Dean of the Faculty of Law, the teaching of all subjects that should have been taught at the Faculty during this period has already been carried out remotely. “Even if the termination of the educational process is prolonged, we are ready to take adequate measures.”

We would like to inform that YSU Faculty of Law and Bachelor’s and Master’s students have been notified about the temporary arrangement of the teaching process in the mentioned way.
