On 18 February, President Armen Sarkissian received a proposal from the Prime Minister to dismiss two Armed Forces officials. The presidential administration reports.
The proposal referred to Artur Baghdasaryan, the Chief of the Military Police of Armenia, and Aleksan Aleksanyan, the Head of the Department for Working with Personnel of the Armed Forces.
The decrees can be signed within three days and, if not signed, it will be returned to the Prime Minister with objections.
Notably, Baghdasaryan was appointed Chief of the Military Police of the Ministry of Defense on 25 May, 2017. Alexanyan has been in office since 28 November, 2019.
