The National Assembly is discussing the Law “On Reduction and Prevention of Health Damage due to the Use of Tobacco Products and their Substitutes”.
Gurgen Baghdasaryan, a representative of the “Bright Armenia” faction, stated that the draft was brought without taking into account the businesses, which would suffer great losses.
Nazeli Baghdasaryan, a member of “My Step”, stated that Gurgen Baghdasaryan cannot express an objective opinion on the issue, as he had worked for a tobacco company for many years. Gurgen Baghdasaryan worked as a Vice President of “Press-Stand” Company in 2009-2019-.
The latter approached the NA podium and stated it did not matter, as he had worked in companies related to other fields.
“Should a draft be discussed in those areas, shouldn’t I have a right of speech?” Gurgen Baghdasaryan said.
