On 7 February, RA Defense Ministry’s Military Police, under the order of Defense Minister David Tonoyan, paid unexpected visits to numerous military units to check the state of military discipline, in particular to detect the participation of servicemen in combat training.

A number of violations have been identified. A group of servicemen absent from the training were detained and brought to the RA police departments.

Unexpected inspections will be ongoing; the violators will be severely punished.
