As we have already informed, the  police arrested the former president of the Football Federation of Armenia Ruben Hayrapetyan.

Speaking to the reporters, Ruben Hayrapetyan’s lawyer Amram Makinyan said detaining his client had nothing to do with the criminal case involving the Football Federation of Armenia.

He also added that for about 30 minutes they were not allowed to come in, meet with Ruben Hayrapetyan and provide legal assistance to him. Later, he entered the police station.

The defender also added that on 3 February, Ruben Hayrapetyan was interrogated as a witness in his own capacity as a witness in the criminal case initiated in the Investigative Committee related to the Football Federation.

Notably on 13 December, special police units of the 6th department searched the apartment of former President of the Football Federation of the Republic of Armenia Ruben Hayrapetyan. “There is a criminal case initiated. I cannot give further details at this time,” “There is a criminal case initiated. I cannot give further details at this time,” Ashot Aharonyan, head of the Police’s PR and Media Department said.
