There are reasonable suspicions that a coup was being prepared in Armenia, an attempt to prevent it, Secretary of the National Security Council Armen Grigoryan said.
“The former government has regularly tried to torpedo using tools and people; many people have followed these ideas and tried to take action. Generally, having an idea is hard to condemn, and actions are such that it is difficult to associate them clearly with people’s dreams and goals. It has been prevented. there have been various consequences, and there have been dismissals as well,” Grigoryan said, without mentioning names and positions.
According to Grigoryan, different ways have been used for this purpose, from the Fakenews to the blackening of the ruling political team, saying that the state system will not work, the economy will fail, and lands will be taken over. Referring to interviews in Russian media, the NSC head noted that when allegations were made about “handing over lands” related to the third president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, there were grounds for that.
