The body of former Director of the National Security Service (NSS) Georgy Kutoyan was found in one of the apartments on Paruyr Sevak Street, on 17 January, with gunshot wound.

Notably, in 2011-2016, Kutoyan occupied the position of Assistant to the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on legal issues.

Armenia’s Deputy Chief of Police, Colonel Gevorg Mheryan also served as Serzh Sargsyan’s legal assistant. In July 2008, he was appointed Deputy Chief of Police. Gevorg Mheryan was shot dead on 3 February, 2009, near the entrance to his house at 65 Barbusse Street in Yerevan.

Gevorg Kostanyan has been the assistant to RA President Serzh Sargsyan since July 2008, and was appointed Prosecutor General by the National Assembly in 2013. Now he is wanted.

Hrayr Ghukasyan, another legal assistant to Serzh Sargsyan, also came to the scene where Georgi Kutoyan’s body was found.
