Armenia will have a representative at the Lars checkpoint, his candidacy has been submitted to the government. Chairman of the State Revenue Committee David Ananyan stated this at a press conference today, on 13 January.

“We already have the point of view of the Foreign Ministry. We are collecting opinions now. I think this month, January, we will have an appointment. And from February we will probably have our representative at the Lars checkpoint. In practice, we have no problems with our Russian partners, just in case a specific situation arises and there is a need for clarification or intervention, we are able to work with our partners at different levels and resolve all issues. But without a representative it requires more efforts,” Ananyan said.

Ananyan also referred to the issue of filing statements by the representatives of show business. He noted that by the end of 2019, about 20 artists had already submitted declarations.
