On 20 December, member of the Public Council Harutyun Mesrobyan submitted an application to the Prime Minister of Armenia to terminate the membership of the Public Council.

Pursuant to Article 9 (1) point 1 of the RA Law on Public Council, the powers of a member of the Public Council shall be terminated if he she has filed an application.

Harutyun Mesrobyan was appointed a member of the Public Council by the Government of Armenia 6 September 2018 at the suggestion of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

It should also be noted that on 19 December, Styopa Safaryan was appointed Chairman of the Public Council by the nomination of the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and by the decision of the Government the Republic of Armenia.
