Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan met with the figures who nominated their candidates for the Presidential Election in Artsakh – the head of the “Democratic Party of Artsakh”, incumbent Speaker of the National Assembly of Artsakh Republic Ashot Ghulyan, incumbent Foreign Minister Masis Mailyan and the President of “Azat Hayrenik” Party Arayik Harutyunyan. David Ishkhanyan, a member of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun Artsakh Central Committee, a member of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun parliamentary group attended the meeting as well.

During the meeting the sides touched upon the organization of the nationwide elections in Artsakh, and the current political situation. The Prime Minister also touched upon the Karabakh conflict settlement process and the works on army building.

Nikol Pashinyan stressed the importance of holding free, fair, transparent and in line with international standards of the presidential and parliamentary elections in Artsakh, underlining that the Armenian government will support the Artsakh authorities in this matter.
