Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Armenia has surpassed all post-Soviet states in the prosperity index of the British Analytical Institute’s “2019 Legatum Prosperity Index”, except for the Baltic States and Georgia.
“Armenia is on the 61st place, improving its position by 27 points compared to last year.
Among the countries in the region, Georgia is in the 53rd place, Russia 74, Turkey 91, Azerbaijan 92, and Iran 119.
The authors compare countries with nine criteria: economic development, business environment, public administration efficiency, education, health, security and personal freedom, as well as social capital and environmental development standards,” he said.
