Criminal Case initiated on Extortion of Money from David Sanasaryan

A criminal case was initiated on the basis of the publication of demanding money from suspended Chief of State Supervision Service David Sanasaryan on the basis of Article 182 (1) of the Criminal Code.

The Iravaban.net learned this informed from the Head of Public Relations Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office Arevik Khachatryan.

“The Prosecutor’s Office has sent to the Yerevan City Police Department the publication in press entitled “Sanasaryan accuses Parents of Child in Blackmail,” for the purpose of criminal prosecution and settlement of the case. Taking into account that the prepared materials seem to contain evidence of the characteristics of the crime, a criminal case was opened at the Erebuni Police Department under Article 182, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,” Khachatryan said.

It should be reminded that according to the publication that on 12 September David Sanasaryan ran into a juvenile A.Gh, whose mother demanded money from David Sanasaryan during a telephone conversation, threatening to provide disruptive information to the media if he did not pay.

Davit Sanasaryan had made a statement on that incident as well.
