Alvina Gyulumyan works in the judicial system since 1985. She became a member of the Constitutional Court for the first time in 1996. In 1997 she was the Chairman of the Union of Judges of the Republic of Armenia. In 2003 she was appointed judge of the European Court of Human Rights, and in 2014 she returned to the Constitutional Court.

In 2014, at the time of assuming the office she submitted the declaration on property and income to the to the Commission on Ethics of High-Ranking Officials of Armenia wher shi mentioned:

- 2 land plots,
- a garage,
- 150,000 EUROs .
When assuming the office her revenues were 180,000 EUROs received from salary.
At the end of the tax year her revenues increased by 2,232,768 AMD, which was received from two salaries.
In 2015 ,her funds totaled to 115,000 EUROs and 750,000 AMD.
The revenues amounted to AMD 13,076,178, which was received from three salaries and borrowings, as well as EUR 8,000, which was received from the lease payment.
In 2016, Alvina Gyulumyan has pledged a loan of 1,000 EUROs. Her Funds were 82,000 EUROs and 960,000 AMD.
The revenues were 10,054,059 AMD, which was received from 3 salaries and 12,900 EUROs , which was received from rent.
In 2017, the funds the members of the Constitutional Court reduced and totaled to 38,000 EUROs and 800,000 AMD.
Her earnings in that year were 11,021,108 AMD, which was recieved from 5 salaries and 5,133 EUROs , which was received from the payment for rent.

- In 2015, his funds remained unchanged, but his income increased and totaled to 1,080,000 AMD which was received from salary.
- In 2016, Aristakes Soghomonyan’s funds amounted to 43,000 EUROs and USD 2,000. In that year the income was AMD 3,050,369, which again was received from rent.
- In 2017, his funds decreased and totaled to 35,000 EUROs and USD 2,000. The revenues amounted to AMD 3,678,767, which was received from the salary and 5,133 EUROs , which was received from the lease payment.
In 2017 Alvina Gyulumyan’s teenage daughter, Ani Soghomonyan, also submitted a declaration but nothing was mentioned there.
