On 13 February, the court hearing on the case of Hayk Sargsyan, the nephew of the 3rd President of Armenia, is in process in the Shengavit residence of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction.

At the moment Davit Simonyan, a victim of the case, testifies to the court. Notably, according to the indictment, Hayk Sargsyan, on 1 April at around 4 pm in the room located on the ground floor of apartment 14 of building 11 in Tumanyan Street, Yerevan where he was registered, shot in Davit Simonyans abdomen from an illegally acquired and maintained pistol “SIGSAUER” with a purpose of intentional deprivation of life. However could not complete the crime due to circumstances beyond his will.

He told us that on the day of the incident he was in the room for the “Security” on the ground floor of apartment 14 of building 11 in Tumanyan Street, Yerevan. They were three in the room, the victim, Hayk and Arthur. Hayk was asleep. The victim and Arthur began a domestic dispute, Hayk woke up and said: “Keep quiet or I shall shoot and shot at me.”
